New Technologies That Prevent Bacterial Growth in the Workplace

Bacteria continues to be a problem for public workplaces. The growth of bacteria can be stemmed by using hygienic practices, such as hand washing and other company health policies. However, it is virtually impossible to stop the growth of bacteria completely.

However, there have been some advancements that have been made in this area. Here are some of the new technologies that are designed to prevent bacteria from growing in your office or facility.

Bacteria Reducing Paint

Paint manufacturer Sherwin-Williams has invented a new type of interior paint that can be used on hard, non-porous walls, doors and ceilings and is designed to kill over 99.9% of bacteria and can also reduce the growth of common microbes.

Paint Shield is available for sale in 590 colors and is designed for use in a variety of settings including healthcare facilities, athletic facilities, schools, day care centers, senior care communities, residential housing, hospitality settings and cruise ships.

Built-in Antimicrobial Protection

Buying products for the office that feature built-in antimicrobial protection can stop the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew. When bacteria comes into contact with the product, this technology prevents further growth or reproduction of the bacteria. This is added to the surfaces of products during the manufacturing process so that it does not wash off or wear off, providing protection that will last for the product's entire lifespan.

Bathroom fixtures, door hardware, carpet, hardwood floors, toilets, tiles, and grout are just a few of the products that are available with Built-in Microban® protection in order to inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Hire a Cleaning Service That Offers ATP Testing

The best way to ensure that your workplace is free of dangerous bacteria is to use a cleaning system that offers ATP Testing. An ATP meter is a scientific tool that is use to prove that germs have been removed. An ATP meter measures Adenosine Tri-Phosphate, which is a pollution that is produced by living cells. The higher the ATP count of a surface, the dirtier the surface is. Cleaner surfaces have lower ATP counts.

When our trained CCS professionals come to your facility, we will use an ATP meter to test your surfaces in order to demonstrate how effective our Coverall Health-Based Cleaning System® Program is in removing germs.
